About the position

The Adjunct HRIS Analyst is a part-time, temporary position within the Human Resources department, responsible for assisting the HRIS team with data analysis, report creation, and responding to inquiries using the WorkDay platform and other HR systems. This role requires in-person attendance and offers a flexible schedule within standard business hours.

Responsibilities

  • Create, compile, verify, maintain, and process reports on Human Resources metrics and data using various systems and tools.
  • Process multistep payroll-related activities including system mass changes, salary table maintenance, and position classifications.
  • Assist with HCM testing, including system upgrade testing and scheduling communication.
  • Disseminate information requiring explanation and interpretation of established University and departmental policies and procedures.
  • Respond to inquiries sent to Human Resources, communicating with employees about HR concerns as needed.
  • Conduct special HR-related software and hardware projects and assignments as directed.
  • Perform other duties as required or assigned by the manager.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in information systems, business, human resources, or a related field.
  • Two to three years of progressive Human Resources Information Systems experience.
  • Previous experience with report development, data analysis, testing, and/or implementation of systems or applications.
  • Advanced computer skills, including MS Office Suite and Human Resources Information Systems.
  • Previous experience with WorkDay preferred.
  • Previous experience with Argos preferred.
  • Experience using relational databases and reporting tools.
  • Strong understanding of database design, structure, functions, and processes.
  • Ability to apply HR functional knowledge to the HRIS environment to improve business processes and procedures.
  • Ability to effectively organize, structure, prepare, and/or present data.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational, prioritization, and multi-tasking skills.
  • Excellent investigation and troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to work independently and thrive as part of a team.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with Argos reporting tool.

  • Flexible schedule within business hours Monday-Friday between 8am-5pm.
  • Competitive hourly wage of $20-$24, commensurate with experience.
