About the position

The Adjunct Instructor for the Human Morphology course series will be responsible for teaching students about the regional anatomy of the head and anterolateral neck, spine and extremities, thorax, abdomen, and pelvis. The course will cover detailed anatomy including muscles, nerves, bones, joints, blood vessels, organs, and visceral structures. Instruction will involve a variety of resources such as prosected human cadavers, online resources, and anatomical models, particularly in a lab setting.

Responsibilities

  • Teach Human Morphology III lecture
  • Assist the lead instructor in teaching/grading laboratory procedures based on existing syllabus
  • Maintain expertise in area of instruction

Requirements

  • Master's degree in clinical anatomy with at least four years related experience OR a first professional degree with advanced training/experience in anatomy
  • Practical experience in human cadaveric dissection
  • Ability to respond effectively to the most sensitive inquiries or complaints
  • Ability to apply principles of logical or scientific thinking to a wide range of intellectual and practical problems
  • Ability to access current electronic information

Nice-to-haves

  • DC degree
  • Prior teaching experience in a university or professional education program preferred
