About the position

Lincoln Land Community College (LLCC) is seeking qualified part-time instructors to teach Industrial Technology and Manufacturing courses at our main campus located in Springfield, Illinois. The position involves teaching both day and evening classes, providing an opportunity to engage with students in a dynamic educational environment. Instructors will be responsible for delivering course content effectively, assessing student performance, and fostering a positive learning atmosphere. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in manufacturing and industrial technology, with practical experience that can be shared with students to enhance their learning experience. Responsibilities

  • Teach Industrial Technology and Manufacturing courses to students in both day and evening classes.
  • Develop and deliver course content that meets the educational standards of the college.
  • Assess and evaluate student performance through assignments, exams, and projects.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment for all students.
  • Collaborate with other faculty members to enhance the curriculum and teaching methods.
  • Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to program development.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2,000 hours of employment in a field related to manufacturing or industrial technology.
  • Experience in production, machine operation, electrical systems, maintenance, or repair.
  • Preferred qualifications include industry certification, credential, degree, or completed apprenticeship.
