The Adjunct position in Information Systems Technology: Cybersecurity at Columbus State Community College is designed to provide quality instruction while maintaining a positive learning environment in the classroom. Additionally, the instructor will participate in identifying students with academic needs and respond by utilizing appropriate resources. Effective use of technology is essential, as the instructor will communicate expectations regarding technology use to students and maintain accurate records in accordance with departmental policies. The Adjunct instructor will also create a positive classroom atmosphere that encourages active and collaborative learning, student effort, and academic challenge. This includes engaging with students both inside and outside the classroom and referring them to appropriate support services when necessary. The role emphasizes the importance of diversity, equity, and inclusion, ensuring that all students feel valued and can contribute to their full potential. The instructor will help identify areas of opportunity and systemic concerns related to discrimination and will promote an inclusive curriculum design. The working conditions are typical of an office and classroom environment, with regular exposure to moderate noise levels. Compensation for this position is set at $55.88 per contact hour.
