About the position

The Adjunct Instructor - Audio Production Engineering at Pellissippi State Community College is responsible for providing quality instruction and maintaining a positive learning environment for students in the field of audio production. This part-time role emphasizes teaching, evaluating students, and managing classroom and laboratory activities.

Responsibilities

• Planning and teaching classes as assigned and outlined in the course descriptions and syllabi.
• Supervising the study and learning activities of students assigned.
• Submitting requests for equipment, supplies, textbooks, and other instructional aids through the department head or program coordinator.
• Evaluating the academic progress of students.
• Demonstrating knowledge of services, regulations, and procedures as defined in the Adjunct Faculty Handbook.
• Submitting course grades and performing other administrative duties as required.
• Scheduling two office hours and providing a written plan for student access if office hours cannot be scheduled.

Requirements

• Associate's degree or higher from a regionally accredited college/university in the teaching field or closely related field.
• Three years' work experience in the Audio Production Engineering field.

Benefits

• Part-time work experience calculated at 50% of full-time experience.
