About the position

The University of Arizona's Biomedical Engineering Department is seeking a part-time Adjunct Instructor to teach the course BME 522, focusing on Drug/Contrast Agent Discovery, Imaging Modalities, and Kinetic Analysis for the Spring 2025 semester. The role includes mentoring BME students in their Senior Design CAPSTONE projects and participating in recruitment efforts at local community colleges.

Responsibilities

  • Teach the BME 522 course, 'Drug / Contrast Agent Discovery, Imaging Modalities and Kinetic Analysis' during the spring semester.
  • Serve as an advisor for BME students enrolled in BME 498 A&B.
  • Participate in the Undergraduate Studies Committee.
  • Assist in recruitment efforts at PIMA and Maricopa high schools and community colleges.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in an engineering or closely related discipline and 5 years of experience as an engineering professional in one or more industrial organizations; OR a Master's degree in an engineering or closely related discipline.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in teaching or mentoring students in a higher education setting.
