About the position

The Adjunct Instructor for Civil Engineering Technology is responsible for providing quality instruction to students, fostering a positive learning environment, and evaluating student performance in both classroom and laboratory settings. This role emphasizes effective teaching, student supervision, and administrative responsibilities related to course management.

Responsibilities

  • Planning and teaching classes as assigned and outlined in course descriptions and syllabi.
  • Supervising the study and learning activities of assigned students.
  • Submitting requests for equipment, supplies, textbooks, and instructional aids through the appropriate channels.
  • Evaluating the academic progress of students.
  • Demonstrating knowledge of services, regulations, and procedures as defined in the Adjunct Faculty Handbook.
  • Submitting course grades and performing other administrative duties as required.
  • Scheduling two office hours and providing a written plan for student access if unable to do so.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or higher from a regionally accredited college/university in the Civil Engineering Technology teaching field or closely related field.
  • Three years' work experience in the field.
