About the position
The Adjunct Instructor for Computer Information Technology - Cyber Security at Pellissippi State Community College is responsible for providing quality instruction in both classroom and laboratory settings. The role emphasizes teaching, evaluating student performance, and maintaining a positive learning environment. The instructor will also handle administrative duties related to course management and student engagement.
Responsibilities
- Planning and teaching classes as assigned and outlined in the course descriptions and syllabi.
- Supervising the study and learning activities of students assigned.
- Submitting requests for equipment, supplies, textbooks, and other instructional aids through the appropriate channels.
- Evaluating the academic progress of students.
- Demonstrating knowledge of services, regulations, and procedures as defined in the Adjunct Faculty Handbook.
- Submitting course grades and performing other administrative duties as required.
- Scheduling two office hours and providing a written plan for student access if office hours cannot be scheduled.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or higher from a regionally accredited college/university.
- At least 5 years of full-time practical cyber or cyber-related working experience.
- Possession of at least one current industry-recognized cyber credential.
