About the position
The Adjunct Instructor for Electrical Engineering Technology at Pellissippi State Community College is responsible for providing quality instruction and maintaining a positive learning environment for students. The role emphasizes teaching and evaluating students in both classroom and laboratory settings, ensuring that educational standards are met and that students receive the support they need to succeed.
Responsibilities
- Planning and teaching classes as assigned and outlined in the course descriptions and syllabi.
- Supervising the study and learning activities of students assigned.
- Submitting requests for equipment, supplies, textbooks, and other instructional aids through the appropriate channels.
- Evaluating the academic progress of students.
- Demonstrating knowledge of services, regulations, and procedures as defined in the Adjunct Faculty Handbook.
- Submitting course grades and performing other administrative duties as required.
- Scheduling two office hours and providing a written plan for student access if office hours cannot be scheduled.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or higher from a regionally accredited college/university in Electrical Engineering Technology or a closely related field.
- Three years of work experience in the Electrical Engineering Technology field.
