About the position
The University of Cincinnati is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Adjunct Instructor in Engineering and Computing Education. This role involves teaching undergraduate and graduate courses within the Department of Engineering & Computing Education. The position is contingent upon departmental needs and teaching performance, with classes offered during the day or evening.
Responsibilities
- Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in engineering and computing education.
- Develop course materials and assessments for assigned classes.
- Engage with students to enhance their learning experience.
- Evaluate student performance and provide feedback.
- Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to curriculum development.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline or closely related STEM field to teach undergraduate courses.
- Ph.D. in an engineering discipline or closely related STEM field, or a Master's degree with 5+ years of professional experience to teach graduate courses.
- Industry or higher education teaching experience.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience with MATLAB and programming tools such as LabVIEW and Python.
- Background in teaching courses related to engineering design and statistics.
