About the position

The Adjunct Instructor for Graphic Design at Berkeley College is responsible for creating a dynamic and engaging learning environment that fosters creativity and innovative problem-solving among students. This role involves teaching students to navigate contemporary design challenges and equipping them with the necessary skills for success in the competitive graphic design market.

Responsibilities

  • Teach graphic design courses to students, both onsite and online.
  • Create engaging lesson plans and course materials that promote creativity and design thinking.
  • Assess student performance and provide constructive feedback.
  • Foster a collaborative and inclusive classroom environment.
  • Stay updated with industry trends and incorporate them into the curriculum.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in graphic design or a related discipline.
  • College-level teaching experience preferred.
  • Expertise in industry-standard software such as Adobe Creative Cloud and Figma.
  • Familiarity with Canvas LMS or similar learning management systems.
  • Effective interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Ability to teach onsite and/or online, with proper computer equipment and bandwidth for streaming.
