About the position

The Adjunct Instructor for Industrial Design at the University of Cincinnati is responsible for administering core curriculum courses within the School of Design. This role supports the mission of the program by ensuring a high-quality academic experience for students, engaging in collaboration with faculty, and maintaining professionalism in all interactions. The position requires a commitment to excellence in teaching and may involve advising students and evaluating coursework.

Responsibilities

  • Administer existing core curriculum syllabi with potential modifications.
  • Submit grades for all students enrolled in the course.
  • Refer students with special needs or circumstances to DAAP advisers when necessary.
  • Coordinate with other faculty members for multi-section course alignment.
  • Serve as an academic adviser for students and evaluate student coursework.
  • Engage in activities ancillary to or in support of responsibilities.
  • Respond in a timely manner to all University-related communications.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in Industrial Design or related field, or a Bachelor's degree in Industrial Design or related field with 6 years of industry experience.
