The College of Design, Architecture, Art, and Planning (DAAP) at the University of Cincinnati is seeking applications for adjunct instructors in the Master's of Design graduate program. This program is designed to prepare students to become skilled professionals capable of thriving in both local and global markets while maintaining a strong respect for the human community. The School of Design is committed to innovation in teaching and transforming design disciplines by integrating the latest design thinking methods and technologies into the curriculum. Through interdisciplinary projects and robust corporate partnerships, the School of Design aims to solidify its position as a leading design institution. The Master's of Design program spans two years and offers a multidisciplinary approach that encompasses Industrial Design, Communication Design, and Fashion Design. The curriculum is grounded in an evidence-based design philosophy that emphasizes the importance of strategy and research methods in understanding human behaviors, environments, and material challenges. This approach prepares students to identify and seize design opportunities within complex sociocultural contexts. As an adjunct instructor, you may be responsible for teaching various courses such as Proposal Studio, Design Communication, and Research Methods. This role involves conducting and teaching assigned undergraduate and/or graduate-level courses and seminars on a part-time basis. In addition to teaching, you may serve as an academic adviser, evaluate student coursework, and engage in other supportive activities related to your responsibilities. Timely communication regarding university matters is also expected, along with the completion of other related duties as assigned.
