About the position

The University of Cincinnati's College of Design, Architecture, Art, and Planning (DAAP) is seeking adjunct instructors for its Master's of Design graduate program. This role involves teaching courses that prepare students for careers in various design disciplines, emphasizing innovative teaching methods and interdisciplinary projects. The program focuses on evidence-based design approaches to address complex sociocultural and environmental challenges.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct and teach assigned undergraduate and/or graduate-level courses and seminars on a part-time basis.
  • Serve as an academic adviser for students and evaluate student coursework.
  • Engage in activities ancillary to or in support of teaching responsibilities.
  • Review and respond in a timely manner to all University-related communications.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • A Master's of Design or comparable graduate degree from an accredited institution.
  • At least 3 years of experience in design or a related field, or a minimum of 7 years' experience in the field.
