About the position

The Adjunct Instructor for Political Science is responsible for providing quality instruction and maintaining a positive learning environment for students. The role emphasizes teaching, evaluating students, and ensuring effective learning experiences in the classroom and laboratories.

Responsibilities

• Planning and teaching classes as assigned and outlined in the course descriptions and syllabi.
• Supervising the study and learning activities of students assigned.
• Submitting requests for equipment, supplies, textbooks, and other instructional aids through the department head or program coordinator.
• Evaluating the academic progress of students.
• Demonstrating knowledge of services, regulations, and procedures as defined in the Adjunct Faculty Handbook.
• Submitting course grades and performing other administrative duties as required.
• Scheduling two office hours and providing a written plan to the Dean if office hours cannot be scheduled.

Requirements

• Master's degree or higher from a regionally accredited college/university with at least 18 graduate semester hours in the Political Science teaching field.
