About the position

The Adjunct Instructor for Web Development/Database Programming at Weatherford College is a part-time faculty position focused on delivering high-quality education in the field of web development and database programming. The instructor will be responsible for teaching courses in the approved discipline, ensuring that students acquire the specific learning outcomes identified for each course. This role requires the creation and maintenance of an effective learning environment, whether the courses are delivered face-to-face, in a hybrid format, online, or as part of dual credit instruction. The adjunct faculty member will also mentor students both in and outside of the classroom, fostering a supportive educational atmosphere. In addition to teaching responsibilities, the adjunct instructor is expected to maintain familiarity with and adhere to college policies and procedures. This includes upholding the highest professional and ethical standards in the use of college time and resources. The position is designated as security sensitive, necessitating a satisfactory criminal history background check. Furthermore, males between the ages of 18 and 25 must be properly registered with the Selective Service System to be eligible for employment. Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Master's degree with 18 graduate semester credit hours in the teaching discipline (SACS credential standards).
  • Demonstrated ability to instruct in face-to-face, hybrid, online, and dual credit courses.
  • Ability to provide instruction that achieves specific goals and objectives for assigned courses.
  • Ability to create a professional and effective learning environment in the classroom and/or laboratory.
  • Effective communication skills with students, college personnel, administration, peers, and public groups.
  • Commitment to treating all persons with respect, dignity, and justice.
