Responsibilities

• Prepare, instruct, and grade all class coursework, quizzes, tests, and written assignments.
• Maintain regularly scheduled office hours online or on campus to meet with students, providing guidance and support.
• Assist with program development, recruiting, and implementing department objectives.
• Participate in college committees and support professional advisory committees.
• Assist with student organizations and contribute to a vibrant campus life.
• Maintain a safe and effective classroom environment conducive to learning.
• Create promotional materials and assist in the recruitment of new students.
• Deliver final grades and grade justification sheets.
• Participate in department, division, and general adjunct faculty meetings.
• Maintain laboratories in a clean, neat, organized, and healthful condition.

Requirements

• Master's degree in interior design.
• Florida State Interior Design License.
• Required field experience.
• Ability to recognize and respond to the individual differences of students from a culturally diverse student population.
• Willingness to make students active partners in the teaching and learning process.
• Teaching experience is preferred.
• Must meet the appropriate credentialing requirements for the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS).
