About the position

The Adjunct Lecturer in Accounting will teach either the required core financial accounting course or the core managerial accounting course. The financial accounting course (ACC1000) covers the construction, analysis, and forecasting of financial statements, including the income statement, balance sheet, and statement of cash flows. Students will learn to prepare, analyze, interpret, and forecast financial statements using real-world examples. The managerial accounting course (ACC2002) builds on financial accounting knowledge and focuses on identifying, measuring, and analyzing relevant information for strategic decision-making. It covers cost behavior, CVP analysis, relevant costing, and budgeting, among other topics. The role emphasizes teaching excellence and engagement in a diverse academic community.

Responsibilities

• Teach core financial accounting and managerial accounting courses.
• Prepare course materials and deliver lectures.
• Engage students in active learning and discussions.
• Assess student performance and provide feedback.
• Participate in faculty training and development programs.

Requirements

• Hold at least a master's degree (e.g., MBA, MSA) from an accredited institution.
• Preferably be a CPA or CMA.
• Demonstrate a strong record of innovative teaching or training.
• Have a minimum of ten years of professional experience, preferably with entrepreneurial companies.
• Show enthusiasm for teaching and engaging with diverse students.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with Industry 4.0 innovations and emerging technologies in accounting.
