About the position

The School of Communication at Florida International University (FIU) is seeking adjunct instructors to teach both introductory and advanced communication courses. These courses are part of the curriculum for various programs, including Communication Arts, Public Relations, Advertising, and Applied Communication (PRAAC), and the Global Strategic Communications master's program (GSC). The role involves teaching established courses at the Modesto Maidique Campus and occasionally at the Biscayne Bay campus, with no requirement for course development or preparation of CANVAS shells. This adjunct pool is open for the 2024-2025 academic year, with applications reviewed as positions become available.

Responsibilities

  • Teach face-to-face introductory and advanced communication courses.

Requirements

  • Master's Degree in communication or equivalent for Primary Instructors.
  • One year of teaching experience for Primary Instructors.
