About the position

The Adjunct Technical Assistant will support the Engineering, Physics and Technology Department by managing laboratory equipment for various courses. This role involves organizing, setting up, maintaining, and demonstrating equipment used in laboratory classes, which may be scheduled during the day, evening, or weekend.

Responsibilities

  • Organize and set up laboratory equipment for courses.
  • Take down and maintain laboratory equipment after use.
  • Secure and repair laboratory equipment as needed.
  • Demonstrate the use of laboratory equipment to students.

Requirements

  • Associates Degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, or Physics.
  • Ability to lift equipment and materials up to 50 lbs.
  • Experience pushing carts up and down ramps carrying materials and equipment.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, Multi-Sim, and Blackboard.

Nice-to-haves

  • Minimum of two years experience in a laboratory setting.
