About the position

The General Manager at Atlantic Aviation is responsible for overseeing the operations of a Fixed Base Operation (FBO) facility, ensuring customer satisfaction, safety, and financial performance. This role involves managing a cross-functional team, ensuring compliance with regulations, and maintaining the facility's operational standards. The General Manager will also focus on developing new business opportunities and maintaining existing customer relationships.

Responsibilities

• Maximize customer satisfaction while ensuring the safe delivery of Atlantic Aviation's products and services
• Lead and develop employees to perform to the highest of standards
• Manage a cross-functional team that includes operations, customer service, sales, and local accounting
• Ensure compliance with all rules, regulations, and policies as issued by local, state, and federal authorities
• Oversee all business functions of the FBO including proper delivery of services, condition of physical plant, staffing, equipment and maintenance
• Maintain existing business and develop new business by monitoring margins, negotiating fuel and/or hangar agreements, and resolving customer issues
• Serve as direct liaison with managing entity of home airport
• Responsible for the financial oversight of the facility including budgeting and forecasting
• Perform all other duties as required and assigned

Requirements

• Previous aviation/FBO management experience is a must
• Bachelor's in Business Administration or related field preferred
• 5 - 8 years of specialized general aviation experience
• Demonstrated financial, administrative, and management capabilities
• Demonstrated track record of excellence
• Strong problem-solving skills
• Excellent interpersonal skills, both written and oral
• Valid driver's license and meet company insurability requirements
• Ability to pass a year background check
