About the position

We are seeking a detail-oriented Administrative Assistant to join our team at Metairie Motors, a used car dealership located in Metairie, LA. The ideal candidate will provide crucial support to ensure the smooth operation of our office. This position is available as both full-time and part-time, with opportunities for growth and development within the company. The Administrative Assistant will be responsible for a variety of tasks that are essential to the daily functioning of our office. In this role, you will perform general office tasks such as filing, data entry, and organizing documents. You will manage incoming calls and emails, directing inquiries to the appropriate personnel, and schedule appointments while maintaining calendars. Additionally, you will assist with preparing reports and presentations, coordinate meetings and events, and provide administrative support to staff as needed. The position requires a proactive approach and the ability to adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate must be comfortable with social media marketing, advertising, and posting, as these skills are essential for engaging with our customer base. A flexible schedule is preferred, as you may be required to come in early or stay late as needed, and flexibility on weekends is also a plus. Own transportation is highly preferred, and bilingual proficiency in Spanish is highly valued, as it will enhance communication with our diverse clientele.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as an Administrative Assistant or in a similar role
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Google Suite
  • Strong communication skills and customer service orientation
  • Ability to type accurately and efficiently
  • Bilingual proficiency in Spanish is a plus
  • Experience as a medical receptionist, clerk, personal assistant, or dental receptionist is advantageous

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with QuickBooks (1 year preferred)
  • Experience in social media management (1 year preferred)
