About the position

We are hiring immediately for an ADMIN ASSISTANT/MARKETING COORDINATOR position at The Citadel, located at 171 Moultrie Street, Charleston, SC 29409. This is a full-time role that involves providing clerical functions and administrative support for food service programs. The successful candidate will be responsible for a variety of tasks that ensure the smooth operation of the marketing and administrative functions within the organization. This position requires a proactive approach to managing responsibilities and maintaining effective communication with various stakeholders, including co-workers, school personnel, administrators, and parents. In this role, you will be tasked with answering telephones and directing inquiries in a professional and client-centric manner. You will maintain confidential personnel files and assist management staff in preparing confidential employment and labor relations documents, including proposed disciplinary notices. Additionally, you will assist with staffing needs, particularly in finding staff when employees call out on short notice. It is essential to work effectively and maintain good working relationships with all parties involved. You will also be responsible for completing and maintaining accurate records of students eligible for free and reduced-priced lunches, entering weekly cash sales and meal counts using a computer, and performing daily bank deposit reconciliations. Processing vendor invoices for payment, ensuring accuracy in addition and checking item prices against bid specifications, is also a critical part of this role. Monthly vendor statement reconciliations and preparing monthly state claim forms for reimbursement will be part of your responsibilities, along with assisting in the preparation of end-of-month financial reports. Attendance at in-service and/or safety meetings is required, and maintaining a clean and safe work environment is essential. Other duties may be assigned as necessary.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Previous marketing experience is a plus.
  • Ability to perform essential functions of the position satisfactorily with or without reasonable accommodation.
