In terms of school office responsibilities, the position involves a variety of administrative tasks. This includes taking and transcribing dictation for various documents such as reports, correspondence, and newsletters. The individual will manage the principal's schedule, coordinating appointments, meetings, and other activities. They will also prepare evaluations, memos, and presentations as directed by the principal, and oversee the assignments and work of substitute teachers. Routine office practices such as sorting mail, operating copy machines, and serving as a telephone receptionist are also part of the job. The employee will maintain an organized filing system, manage records and correspondence, and act as a resource for other office personnel. Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize multiple assignments are essential, as is a detail-oriented approach to work. The role may also involve other duties as assigned, and the employee is expected to demonstrate enthusiasm and commitment to the job and the mission of the company. Excellent interpersonal skills are necessary to interact with various stakeholders, and maintaining confidentiality is paramount. Responsibilities

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • One to two years of office experience with a wide variety of responsibilities.
  • Successful results of criminal and employment background check.
  • Comfortable working in a learning environment as part of a team.
  • Bilingual ability may be required per advertised vacancy specifications.
  • Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Student Information System (SIS), and email communications.
