About the position

The Admin House Supervisor, RN is responsible for overseeing and coordinating nursing and ancillary services during shifts in the absence of administrators and department directors. This role involves managing patient admissions and transfers, staffing inpatient units and the emergency department, and making critical decisions that impact patient care delivery. The position emphasizes open communication, mentorship, and guidance for nursing staff.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate nursing and ancillary services during shifts.
• Manage patient admissions and transfers.
• Staff inpatient units and the emergency department.
• Make necessary or emergent decisions affecting patient care delivery.
• Provide direction and guidance to nursing staff.
• Act as a mentor, advisor, and negotiator when needed.

Requirements

• Current CA RN License
• Current BLS / ACLS provider card
• PALS certification within 6 months of hire date
• Violence Intervention and Prevention (VIP) training within 6 months of hire date
• BSN required, MSN preferred
• Five years of current nursing experience in an acute care setting
• One year of charge nurse experience or two years as an administrative nursing supervisor
• Two years of management/supervisory experience preferred.
