About the position

The Admin/Human Resources Generalist at Mid American Credit Union is a full-time role focused on providing administrative and HR support to the CEO, Board of Directors, and management team. The position emphasizes confidentiality, professionalism, and integrity while managing various HR functions and administrative tasks to enhance organizational efficiency and member satisfaction.

Responsibilities

  • Provide confidential administrative support to the CEO and management staff.
  • Act as a liaison to volunteers as directed by the CEO.
  • Manage and draft internal and external communications with staff and management.
  • Maintain and schedule meetings through Microsoft Outlook.
  • Process and assist in preparing executive-level reports, agendas, and meetings.
  • Handle onboarding, hiring, offboarding, and maintain confidential records.
  • Gather information and prepare reports as assigned.
  • Maintain and distribute current employee information, policies, and procedures.
  • Compile, scan, file, and maintain confidential personnel records.

Requirements

  • Two to five years of administrative, clerical, and HR experience desired.
  • Degree in Human Resources or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Member service experience with strong communication, empathy, patience, and organization skills.
  • Experience drafting, editing, and creating professional correspondences and presentations.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in a credit union or financial services environment.
  • Familiarity with HR software and tools.
