About the position

The Administration Operations Analyst at Stanford Health Care plays a crucial role in coordinating the administrative operations and services for the assigned area. This position is responsible for optimizing patient flow and related processes, resolving problems, coordinating care, and managing projects. Key responsibilities include analyzing and tracking the operating budget, managing office equipment, coordinating space, evaluating and selecting vendors, and providing administrative and resource assistance to staff on various department programs. The analyst will oversee staff, operations, and services, establishing and implementing area-specific processes, managing projects, and optimizing workflow. In this role, the analyst will coordinate the resource needs of the group, ensuring alignment with management guidance. They will serve as a key resource for assigned staff, helping them understand and apply the area's administrative policies. The analyst will ensure that staff receive necessary orientation regarding new or revised policies and processes, track productivity metrics, and ensure timely completion of work assignments. Additionally, they will participate in developing recommendations for space and equipment for the assigned area and provide management with recommendations regarding employee actions, including hiring, promotions, time off, and potential disciplinary actions. The analyst will also be responsible for workplace safety and infection prevention within their scope of work.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Associates degree in a work-related field or equivalent experience.
  • Four years of progressively responsible experience in a related field.
  • One year of work lead or supervisory experience.
  • Ability to apply judgment and make informed decisions in a moderately complex environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to establish effective working relationships and build consensus.
  • Ability to research and interpret relevant regulations, guidelines, and standards.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving skills and ability to identify solutions.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills appropriate for the job.
  • Knowledge of organization and administrative practices specific to the area supported.
  • Understanding of the needs and interdependencies of the functional organization.
