About the position

The Administrative Assistant at L3Harris Defense Electronic Systems (DES) plays a crucial role in supporting the Program Management Organization within a large manufacturing site. This position focuses on enhancing office productivity, managing administrative tasks, and providing continuous improvement support. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong problem-solving abilities, excellent communication skills, and meticulous attention to detail, contributing to the overall success of the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Download Bills of Materials and load into Request for Quote Database
  • Segregate parts by commodity and send to assigned Buyer
  • Receive Buyer input regarding which Suppliers should receive solicitations
  • Prepare standard requests for quotations and issue to suppliers
  • Receive supplier quotations and input pricing information into Request for Quote Database
  • Contact suppliers to expedite quote responses as needed
  • Create and maintain files by part number for each request for quote
  • Provide final material pricing on all items on the Bill of Material
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of 6 years of prior relevant experience or 2 years post-Secondary/Associates Degree with a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience
  • 2 years or more demonstrated experience in Microsoft Office software, especially Excel
  • Must be a United States Citizen
