About the position

The Administrative Aide I - Dental Health position is responsible for supervising and evaluating the work of dental clerical support staff, ensuring a team-centered approach to customer service. This role involves maintaining patient electronic dental records, scheduling, filing dental claims, and supporting community outreach activities. The position requires strong leadership skills and effective communication abilities to foster positive relationships within the workplace and the community.

Responsibilities

  • Assigns, supervises, and evaluates the work of subordinate dental clerical support staff.
  • Supervises and supports dental clerical support functions in creating and maintaining patient electronic dental records.
  • Oversees scheduling, filing accurate dental claims, and check-in and check-out functions.
  • Collaboratively works with other division and department staff in providing community outreach activities and events.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Two years of experience in a responsible supervisory capacity or equivalent combination of training and experience.
  • Coursework in business education, business management, or a related field.
