About the position

The Administrative Aide III position at the Housing Opportunities Commission of Montgomery County is a temporary full-time role focused on providing intake assistance and customer service at the Customer Service Center. The role involves handling inquiries, distributing mail, and managing documentation efficiently while ensuring excellent customer service.

Responsibilities

  • Provide intake assistance at the Customer Service Center.
  • Answer telephones and respond to inquiries in a courteous manner.
  • Refer clients to appropriate staff as necessary.
  • Distribute internal and external mail daily upon receipt.
  • Monitor and distribute Eco mail Triage inbox.
  • Provide receipts to clients upon receipt of documentation.
  • Provide forms and documents to walk-in clients and mail to clients upon request.
  • Scan all incoming documents within 24 hours of receipt.
  • Update email addresses and telephone numbers upon contact with clients in person.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma required; Bachelor degree preferred.
  • Three years of secretarial/clerical experience.
  • Knowledge of subsidized housing is a plus.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite and internet usage.
  • Good interpersonal, customer service, and organizational skills.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to prioritize assignments to meet deadlines and be dependable.

Nice-to-haves

  • Bilingual abilities are a plus.
