About the position

The Prince George's County Health Department is seeking a qualified candidate for the position of Administrative Aide within the Behavioral Health Services division. This role is essential in providing comprehensive support to the Adult Reentry and Offender Reentry programs at the Bridge Center. As an Administrative Aide, you will engage in full performance level secretarial and administrative tasks that are crucial for the smooth operation of these programs. Under general supervision, you will be responsible for a variety of secretarial duties, some of which may involve technical challenges and require a high level of responsibility. Your role will involve determining the appropriate steps to independently complete assignments in accordance with established procedures and protocols. While you will have the autonomy to manage your tasks, you will also be expected to refer to your supervisor or lead staff when necessary. The position requires you to perform routine office duties, assist staff as needed, and maintain a broad knowledge of County government functions, programs, and resources. Your work will be evaluated based on the accuracy and timely completion of projects and assignments, as well as your ability to communicate effectively and interact appropriately with staff, community-based partners, and consumers. This position is not only about administrative tasks; it also involves being a key player in supporting the mission of the Behavioral Health Services division, which aims to provide essential resources and services to the residents of Prince George's County. Responsibilities

  • Provide key support to the Adult Reentry and Offender Reentry programs at the Bridge Center.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience in secretarial or administrative support roles.
  • Knowledge of County government functions and programs.
  • Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
