Responsibilities

  • Welcome visitors in a courteous and professional manner and refer them to appropriate staff.
  • Act as a liaison for the Certificate of Insurance (COI).
  • Serve as a liaison to internal and external customers regarding departmental matters.
  • Collaborate with personnel within the Office of Procurement on issues requiring department-wide coordination.
  • Manage documents and records, maintaining accurate databases.
  • Obtain electronic files and various source materials to compile information for meetings and projects.
  • Answer incoming phone calls courteously and screen calls to determine their nature.
  • Take messages clearly and ensure timely delivery.
  • Provide backup to the Vendor Coordinator and maintain the County Vendor Database using established SAP formats.
  • Act as the Access Badge and Vehicle Coordinator for the agency.
  • Communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing.
  • Perform other tasks and duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED with coursework in typing, office practices, or related clerical subjects.
  • One year of advanced diverse and/or technical clerical experience, including at least six months of public interaction.

  • Associate of Arts degree in Purchasing/Procurement, Business Administration, or related field.
