About the position

The Administrative Aide position at the City of Owensboro involves coordinating and performing a variety of administrative, secretarial, and clerical duties to support designated management. In this role, the Administrative Aide will be responsible for managing the parking rental program and overseeing the soft drink machines. Additional duties include transcribing minutes for meetings, running errands, updating the City phone directory, coordinating and scheduling meetings and appointments, entering check requests for the Finance and Support Services Department, and managing spreadsheets. The Aide will also assist and support the Director of Finance and Support Services and perform special projects as directed. This position is crucial for maintaining the smooth operation of administrative functions within the department, contributing to the overall efficiency of the City’s operations.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Associates Degree in Business Administration, Office Administration, or similar position
  • Minimum 3 years experience as a Secretary, Office Manager, or similar position (preferably to a top-level position)
  • Valid Driver's License required
  • Equivalent amount of education and/or experience is acceptable
