The aide may work closely with personnel services officers and may have indirect supervisory responsibilities over staff, volunteers, and inmate workers. Other duties include placing purchase orders, giving presentations, serving on committees, preparing pay estimates, reviewing accounts, analyzing invoices, and assisting in budget preparation and monitoring. The role also requires building, operating, and maintaining automated systems and information relevant to the department's operations.

Responsibilities

  • Collect and compile data and prepare written analysis of findings.
  • Conduct research, analyze information, and formulate recommendations in various report formats.

  • Assist in maintaining and processing personnel transactions and records.
  • Maintain department and agency position control.
  • Work closely with personnel services officers in benefit and compensation matters.
  • Coordinate the new hire process and interpret County human resources regulations.
  • Project training budget and needs for the department.
  • Indirectly supervise staff, volunteers, and inmate workers as needed.
  • Place purchase orders with vendors and manage procurement processes.

Requirements

  • 1 year of relevant experience in an administrative role or similar position.
