About the position

The Administrative Analyst for the Customer Services Bureau at the San Francisco Public Utilities Commission (SFPUC) is responsible for developing and leading strategies for community assistance programs aimed at providing financial support to low-income utility customers. This role involves managing stakeholder relationships, overseeing program effectiveness, and ensuring efficient operations within the Customer Assistance Program (CAP). The analyst will also engage in data analysis, budget oversight, and grant writing to enhance the program's reach and effectiveness.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and lead SFPUC's strategy for community assistance for residential utility customer segments.
  • Plan, implement, and analyze public relations strategies that advance the organization's mission and goals.
  • Oversee and manage key stakeholder relationships with organizations that aid low-income households.
  • Provide consultative services on the effectiveness of programs and practices, recommending solutions to achieve desired results.
  • Manage internal and external resources to implement solutions for the Customer Assistance Program (CAP).
  • Collaboratively manage employees responsible for administering the CAP.
  • Work with customer service, finance, and external affairs to develop proposals for new services and programs.
  • Establish and maintain partnerships to advance program goals.
  • Perform data analysis and budget oversight of low-income designated revenue sources.
  • Research grant opportunities and prepare grant proposals to maintain and expand the CAP program.

Requirements

  • Possession of a baccalaureate degree from an accredited college or university.
  • One (1) year full-time equivalent experience performing professional-level analytical work.
  • Experience in customer/stakeholder relationship management, grant writing, and administration.

Benefits

  • Competitive salary range of $100,932 - $122,720 per year.
  • Temporary exempt position with potential for extension up to 36 months.
