About the position

The Administrative and Human Resources Specialist at the Office of Administrative Services for Independent Agencies (OASIA) in Denver, CO, is responsible for establishing and managing independent human resources and administrative processes. This role involves overseeing payroll, leave and benefits administration, and facilities management, while also enhancing the employee experience and ensuring compliance with human resource laws. The position requires collaboration with various stakeholders to implement best practices and support Colorado's public sector agencies.

Responsibilities

  • Facilitate and identify opportunities for improvement in recruitment, onboarding, benefits, personnel documentation management, and timekeeping and leave management.
  • Participate in trainings to enhance knowledge related to personnel rules, human resource laws, and individual circumstances.
  • Assist in oversight and maintenance of OASIA's HRIS system, including payroll processes and collaboration with stakeholders to resolve challenges.
  • Respond to requests related to facilities maintenance and support office moves, ensuring accessibility for all offices and facilities.
  • Provide direct administrative support internally and to independent agencies as needed.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in human resources or a related field.
  • Three years of experience in human resources, benefits, and/or organizational development.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to interact professionally with a variety of stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of human resources best practices and strong organizational capabilities.

Nice-to-haves

  • Familiarity with Colorado's state payroll system (UKG) and related personnel systems (CPPS).
  • Experience in a public sector or government setting.
