About the position

The Administrative and Marketing Coordinator at NW Innovation Resource Center (NWIRC) plays a vital role in supporting small businesses and workforce development in northwest Washington. This position focuses on enhancing the organization's marketing efforts and providing administrative support for various programs, including data analytics training and event planning. The coordinator will work closely with the Data Analytics Program Manager and the Executive Director to ensure effective outreach and successful execution of events.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in managing the Everett Office, including opening and closing procedures.
  • Coordinate and implement various events aligned with NWIRC's mission and outreach strategy.
  • Support event planning, set-up, clean-up, and organization of webinars, workshops, and promotional events, including virtual formats.
  • Track, analyze, and report marketing metrics to optimize outreach campaigns.
  • Manage media communications, including social media content and strategy for NWIRC and IRC Lab.
  • Create promotional materials for events, including flyers, posters, email blasts, and press releases.
  • Assist the Executive Director in developing materials for funding and partnership purposes.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in an administrative role with strong organizational skills.
  • Solid understanding of marketing principles, including digital and content marketing.
  • Proficient in social media management and marketing tools such as Canva and MailChimp.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft engaging content.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Planner).
  • Ability to be flexible working in a small office.
  • Public relations/customer service skills and attitude.
  • Background in business sufficient to understand all aspects of a business.
  • Understanding and knowledge of marketing and public relations.
