About the position

Responsibilities

  • Maintain various tracking and database systems.

  • Answer phones regarding policy or procedure and direct calls to appropriate staff.
  • Set up and coordinate meetings for senior staff.
  • Receive and process mail and fax documents.
  • Perform faxing and photocopying tasks.
  • Conduct data entry and maintain paper and electronic filing systems.

Requirements

  • Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office, specifically Outlook, Word, and Excel.
  • Ability to work in a team and handle multiple, shifting priorities.
  • Good organizational skills.
  • Familiarity with working in electronic databases.

Nice-to-haves

  • Prior experience working in the New York State Department of Health, Office of Aging and Long-Term Care, Metropolitan Area Regional Office.
