About the position

The Administrative Assistant for Enrollment position at WSU Vancouver offers a mix of administrative support to the Enrollment department and customer service support for the Cougar Center, which serves as a one-stop information shop for WSU Vancouver students. This role involves providing varied and complex administrative support to the Associate Vice Chancellor (AVC) for Enrollment and all units within the Enrollment functional area, including Admissions, Cougar Center, Enrollment Technology, Registration, and Student Financial Services. The position also includes supporting finance, procurement, and travel for the AVC and Enrollment units, as well as serving as the primary Human Resources Partner for Enrollment.

Responsibilities

  • Provide varied and complex administrative support to the AVC for Enrollment and all units within the Enrollment functional area.
  • Support all finance, procurement, and travel for the AVC and Enrollment units, including budget tracking and reporting.
  • Serve as primary Human Resources Partner for Enrollment, supporting recruitment, onboarding, offboarding, and payroll processes.
  • Provide general administrative and operational support to the AVC and Enrollment units, including scheduling and event support.
  • Act as the primary liaison to Business Services, Human Resources, Facilities & Operations, and Information Technology.

Requirements

  • High School graduation or equivalent AND three (3) years of progressively responsible experience in office/clerical, secretarial, bookkeeping, accounting, or general administrative work; OR equivalent education/experience.
  • Demonstrated attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage competing priorities.
  • Demonstrated interpersonal skills and ability to maintain collaborative and productive relationships with diverse stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in modern business technologies, including word processing software, spreadsheets, email, chat software, virtual meeting platforms, digital and cloud-based filing software, and/or large databases/information systems.

Nice-to-haves
