About the position

The Administrative Assistant at Atrium Health provides essential secretarial and office support to the Vice President or Chief Nurse Executive. This part-time role involves managing schedules, coordinating meetings, and handling travel arrangements while utilizing strong customer service skills and critical thinking to assist with various administrative tasks.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinates calendar(s) and schedules meetings.
  • Makes travel arrangements for executives.
  • Uses customer service skills to manage phone calls.
  • Welcomes visitors and business associates by greeting and directing them.
  • Attends meetings as requested, representing the executive.
  • Maintains and updates departmental files, policies, procedures, and safety manuals.
  • Manages confidential information appropriately.
  • Performs general office work including reading, researching, and drafting correspondence.
  • Collects and analyzes information for proactive problem-solving.
  • Prepares and processes various forms such as expense reports and purchase requisitions.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Associate's Degree preferred.
  • 2 years of secretarial experience required.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in travel planning.
