About The Position

This Grade 4 Administrative Assistant provides office administrative and purchasing support to the Chief Finance Officer and Finance department. Primary responsibilities include liaising with individual schools and district offices to ensure review for purchasing within allocated budget, regular budget versus expenditure reporting, effective and timely communication, as well as processing all purchase orders for the District. This position also provides support to the Assistant Superintendent of Special Education/Pupil Personnel and the Special Education/Pupil Services Department in financial reporting and control matters such as billing for student related programs and services. The Administrative Assistant will contribute to the smooth flow of information and communications between the Business Office and all other offices of the school district and will work as an effective team member of a very experienced finance unit. The successful candidate will be a self-starter and able to perform administrative activities requiring an advanced level of accountability to include problem solving and interpersonal contacts, data reporting and exercises independent judgement along with the flexibility to be a successful team member in an experienced and seasoned finance unit.
