The Administrative Assistant for Commercial Insurance at TEKsystems plays a crucial role in maintaining the reception area and supporting various administrative functions. This position serves as the first point of contact for visitors and requires a friendly, professional demeanor. The role involves logging new business submissions, answering phone calls, and providing backup support to other administrative areas, all while ensuring confidentiality and effective multi-tasking.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain reception area and common areas in a clean and tidy manner.
  • Act as the first point of contact for on-site visitors and deliveries.
  • Log incoming new business submissions for Underwriters in a timely manner.
  • Answer incoming telephone calls and forward them to appropriate personnel.
  • Provide backup support to other administrative areas, including Loss Runs.
  • Perform clerical duties such as filing, photocopying, collating, and printing.
  • Make appointments for staff, including executives.
  • Handle overnight deliveries and incoming mail.
  • Maintain confidentiality in matters pertaining to management.
  • Assist customers and internal employees using an intuitive approach.

Requirements

  • Strong in-person office administration skills.
  • Experience in processing invoices.
  • Calendar management for sales professionals and C-Suite leaders.
  • Conversational Spanish speaking skills.
