About the position

The Administrative Assistant-Data Entry position at Friends of the Children-Houston involves providing essential administrative support to the Program Director and leadership team. The role primarily focuses on extensive data entry, document formatting, and various clerical duties, including event planning and onboarding support. This temporary, part-time position offers a hybrid work environment, allowing for flexibility in working hours while requiring occasional in-office presence.

Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative support to the Program Director and leadership team.
  • Perform extensive data entry in various databases.
  • Redact and format procedures manuals and related documentation.
  • Organize onboarding and presentation/partners packets.
  • Assist with event planning and coordination.
  • Maintain confidentiality and communicate appropriately within the workplace.
  • Cultivate trusting relationships with leadership and team members.
  • Complete administrative tasks accurately and on time.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in data entry and administrative tasks.
  • Proficient in administrative tasks such as scheduling, documenting, and time management.
  • Advanced computer and data entry skills.
  • Excellent writing skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with event planning is preferred.
