About the position

The Administrative Assistant at FCUSD plays a crucial role in supporting the elementary school office by performing a variety of secretarial, clerical, and receptionist duties. This position requires a high level of interaction with parents, teachers, and students, and operates with minimal supervision, especially when the Principal is absent. The role is integral to creating a welcoming and inclusive environment within the school, contributing to the overall mission of supporting student wellness and academic growth.

Responsibilities

  • Perform a wide variety of secretarial and clerical duties in the school office.
  • Coordinate the work of the school office under the direction of the Principal.
  • Provide receptionist duties, including frequent contact with parents, teachers, and students.
  • Assist in maintaining a welcoming and inclusive environment at the school.
  • Support the Principal in administrative tasks as required.

Requirements

  • Equivalent to completion of the twelfth grade.
  • Two years of responsible and varied clerical experience, preferably with public contact.
  • Ability to demonstrate knowledge and abilities related to the position.
