About the position

The Administrative Assistant for the Food Service department at Freedom Village is responsible for overseeing various administrative tasks related to food service operations. This role involves managing deliveries, inventory, and communication with vendors and customers, ensuring efficient food service management in a Continuing Care Retirement Community.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee areas and storage pertaining to deliveries.
  • Provide stock and supply deliveries.
  • Communicate effectively with outside customers and vendors.
  • Read package slips and manage monthly billings.
  • Count inventory and perform data entry tasks.
  • Proofread resident menu and food service-related flyers.
  • Handle monthly in-service printings and bookkeeping for inspections and invoices.
  • Organize and relabel food items.

Requirements

  • Valid Food Handler Certification required.
  • Experience in Microsoft programs is required.
  • Previous work experience in Food Service preferred.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to multitask.
