This role is crucial in performing various administrative functions that assist consultants working on projects related to health care reform, regulation, and general health care consulting engagements. The Administrative Assistant will play a key role in ensuring that the operations of the healthcare practice run smoothly and efficiently. The responsibilities of the Administrative Assistant include extensive calendar management, scheduling meetings, conference calls, travel arrangements, and events. The role also involves overseeing the entry and coding of time, reconciling monthly billing statements, and tracking expenses to budget. The candidate will be responsible for preparing and formatting documents in Word, managing and tracking expense reimbursements, and providing backup support to other administrative assistants as needed. Additionally, the role may involve ad hoc projects and duties that arise in the course of supporting the healthcare practice. To be successful in this position, the candidate should possess 1-3 years of experience supporting multiple professionals in a fast-paced environment. A reliable, friendly, and positive attitude is essential, along with strong multi-tasking skills and the ability to prioritize activities effectively. The candidate must be a creative and independent thinker, confident in asking questions to complete tasks efficiently. Given the extensive contact with clients and others, discretion and professionalism are paramount. Strong writing and research skills, exceptional organizational abilities, and attention to detail are also critical for success in this role. The candidate should be self-motivated, take ownership of their work, and enjoy working as part of a team. Proficiency in Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel is required, with the ability to create polished presentations and documents. Familiarity with legal billing software is a plus, and an interest in the healthcare field is highly preferred. A BA degree is also highly preferred.
