About the position

The Administrative Assistant position at Dominion Energy is designed to provide clerical and administrative support to management and departmental staff. This role encompasses a variety of office duties, including answering calls, scheduling meetings, processing correspondence, and maintaining office supplies. The position is flexible, allowing for placement at the I, II, or III level based on the candidate's experience and skills, with a focus on supporting the operational needs of the company.

Responsibilities

  • Provide clerical and administrative support to management and staff.
  • Answer and screen telephone calls, make appointments, and schedule meetings.
  • Process mail and faxes, and compose correspondence.
  • Collect, compile, and analyze information and data.
  • Maintain and update office supplies and department files.
  • Perform data entry and maintain department informational databases.
  • Process expense reports and invoices, and provide budget tracking support.
  • Handle confidential records and make travel arrangements.
  • Use discretion in planning, organizing, and scheduling work.
  • Provide general typing and word processing support.

Requirements

  • 0-2 years of directly related experience for Administrative Assistant I.
  • 3+ years of directly related experience for Administrative Assistant II.
  • 5+ years of extensive clerical/administrative experience for Administrative Assistant III.
  • Basic understanding of computerized equipment and standard office equipment.
  • Proficient in word processing, spreadsheet, graphics, and presentation software.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to collect, compile, and analyze information and data.
  • Understanding of company policies and procedures, especially for higher levels.

Nice-to-haves

  • Understanding of CORE, Citrix, or similar software for Administrative Assistant II and III.
  • Proficient in SAP for Administrative Assistant III.
