About the position

The University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV) is seeking an Administrative Assistant III for the School of Public Health. This role is pivotal in supporting various academic programs, including MPH, HCA, MHA, and EMHA, by assisting students, faculty, and staff with administrative tasks. Responsibilities include maintaining records, coordinating events, managing class schedules, and providing information to stakeholders. The position requires a proactive approach to support the academic and operational needs of the School.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain graduate and alumni records for MPH, HCA, MHA, and EMHA programs.
  • Retrieve and provide accreditation-specific information to graduate coordinators.
  • Manage employment documents for part-time instructors and temporary employees.
  • Coordinate class scheduling and manage the School's TEC room calendar.
  • Organize orientation, training, and School events.
  • Submit purchasing requisitions, payment requests, and expense reimbursements.
  • Provide information to walk-ins, telephone callers, and the general public regarding the programs.
  • Assist academic faculty with grant-specific employment documents and travel arrangements.
  • Support in organizing and coordinating special events and activities.

Requirements

  • Graduation from high school or equivalent education.
  • Three years of progressively responsible relevant work experience in record maintenance, public relations, and financial document processing.
  • Experience as an Administrative Assistant II in Nevada State service or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Nice-to-haves

  • Training and applied experience in Workday, Archibus, MyUNLV, PeopleSoft, UNLV Analytics, Google Mail, Google Calendar, Google Drive, Microsoft Office.
