About the position

The Administrative Assistant for Logistics, Parts and Service at Hermle USA plays a crucial role in supporting the Warehouse, Service, and Parts Department. This entry-level position focuses on providing exceptional customer service, managing logistics tasks, and ensuring efficient operations within the organization. The role requires strong organizational skills and the ability to communicate effectively with both internal teams and customers.

Responsibilities

  • Provide support to the Warehouse, Service and Parts Department as required.
  • Receive and log parts and service calls/notifications into the SAP system.
  • Maintain record keeping, organization, and filing.
  • Process Sales Orders and Quotes in the ERP system.
  • Assist in the shipping department when needed.
  • Provide shipment tracking information to customers.
  • Generate Bills of Lading (BOLs) for shipments.
  • Prepare reports, analyze data, and identify solutions.
  • Perform general organizational tasks and schedule training events.
  • Complete other duties and responsibilities as requested.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent with 1-3 years' experience in Manufacturing, Logistics, and/or Customer Service.
  • Exceptional customer service skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Analytical thinker with strong organizational skills.
  • Self-motivated and ability to work well independently.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • Forklift experience is a plus.
  • ERP system experience, particularly with SAP R/3, is a plus.
