About the position

The Administrative Assistant/Office Clerk role involves providing a variety of administrative and clerical support services to an organizational unit. The position requires performing tasks such as word processing, organizing files, scheduling meetings, and maintaining reports. The role may also include assisting in budget preparation and serving as a liaison for administrative issues within the company.

Responsibilities

  • Perform a variety of administrative and clerical duties including word processing and organizing files.
  • Schedule meetings and maintain calendars.
  • Process incoming mail and answer phones.
  • Maintain reports and other pertinent data.
  • Assist in budget preparation and control activities.
  • Administer various programs, projects, and processes specific to the operating unit served.
  • Train and assist other employees as needed.

Requirements

  • 0-3 years of experience in an administrative role.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Access, Project).
  • Excellent word-processing skills (50-60 wpm) and business writing ability.
  • Strong organization, analytical, attention to detail, and follow-up skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in customer service (1 year preferred).
